Twenty years of running these instruments. Then we built our own.
Resment Solutions LLP is a Chennai-based manufacturer of thermal analysis instrumentation — founded by people who spent two decades installing, calibrating and living with other people's.
The instruments taught us what to build
The people behind Resment came up through analytical instrumentation in India — supplying thermal analysis systems to pharmaceutical, academic and industrial laboratories, commissioning them on site, calibrating them, training the people who would use them, and being called back when a baseline would not settle or a furnace stopped holding temperature.
Two decades of that leaves you with a particular kind of knowledge. Not the specification sheet — anyone can read a specification sheet. What you learn is which specifications a laboratory actually feels: that a symmetric furnace matters more than a headline temperature ceiling; that atmosphere stability is what makes or breaks a marginal glass transition; that the single largest cause of lost weeks is not the instrument failing but the wait for someone qualified to come and look at it.
Resment exists because those are design and supply-chain problems, and both of them are solvable by building the instrument in the same country as the customer.
An instrument is only worth what its numbers are worth. Everything we do is aimed at the moment a customer has to defend a result to an auditor, a client or a regulator.
Traceable, not approximate
Temperature calibration against certified standards — indium, tin, lead, zinc, aluminium — so the axis is anchored to physical constants, and ±0.1 °C accuracy and repeatability across the DSC and TGA range.
Honest about what we know
Where a specification is confirmed, we publish it. Where a line is still being finalised, we say so on the page rather than quietly borrowing a number from a comparable instrument.
Answerable in person
The people who assemble and calibrate the instrument are the people who answer when a measurement looks wrong. No ticket queue, no overseas escalation, no time-zone gap.
Why it matters that these are built here
India buys a great deal of thermal analysis equipment and manufactures very little of it. That gap has a cost, and laboratories pay it in time rather than in rupees.
- 01Lead time
Built to order locally. No ocean freight, no customs clearance, no consignment sitting at a port while a funded project timeline runs down.
- 02Service and spares
Parts held in India and engineers based here. A furnace element or a sensor is a despatch, not an import.
- 03Rupee pricing
Quoted and invoiced in rupees, with no customs duty layered on and no exchange-rate movement between purchase order and delivery.
- 04Engineering access
A different furnace ceiling, a particular crucible set, a coupling to an existing GC or FTIR — a conversation with the people who build it, not a change request to a foreign factory.
- 05Public procurement
We are a registered MSME, and we manufacture in India. Those are two distinct positions under two separate orders — and a buyer can apply both. See the credentials below.
- 06Training on site
Operator training delivered in person at your laboratory, in the language your team works in, as part of commissioning rather than as a paid extra.
Credentials
Indian public procurement runs two preference regimes that are routinely conflated. The MSE order rests on Udyam registration and carries fee and deposit exemptions together with a purchase preference for micro and small enterprises. The Make in India order rests on local content and classifies suppliers on that basis. They are independent of one another, and a buyer may apply both in the same tender. Resment Solutions LLP is a registered MSME, manufacturing in India.

Raising a tender enquiry? Send us the specification and the deadline — we will return the technical compliance statement alongside the commercial offer.
Send us a specimen you already know the answer for.
We run an in-house testing service on our own DSC, covering −40 °C to 680 °C, and issue a full test report against it. We actively encourage prospective customers to send a material whose behaviour they already understand — it is a far better evaluation of an instrument than any demonstration we could stage.
The same service stands on its own for laboratories that need a characterisation occasionally and cannot justify owning the equipment, or that want an independent second opinion on a result with consequences attached.
Come and see one run.
If you are in or near Chennai, the most useful thing we can do is put your material on an instrument while you watch. If you are further away, send the specimen.
